Tuesday 19 July

Mid afternoon today the family party of BKC, BJA and cygnet seen at the beach in JKMP.

This will be the last time I see them.

Remnants of the nest used by BKC and BJA

Also saw a large number (25) of Red-rumped Parrots feeding below the She-oaks and a Rakali,

Hydromyse chrysogaster, briefly came out of the water onto a rock.

On the west side of the basin the feral ducks were displaying. Seems as though they were all drakes and they were facing off with each other. Some Forward Shakes seen but little else.
